A note from the founder
Hi, I'm Jonathan!
Katrina and I are getting married in 2027, no planner, two full-time jobs. We emailed more vendors than I'd like to admit. Every one meant a form, a follow-up, then another, and by the time a price came back some were booked or way over what we could spend. The quotes never lined up either: different hours, different inclusions, tax in or out. My spreadsheet was never finished.
All we wanted was a price, what's included, and whether our date was free. In one place.
So I built Upfront Wedding. It gave us our evenings back, and I'd love for it to do the same for you. If anything's unclear, my inbox is always open :)
Questions
Who's emailing the vendors?
We are, from your wedding address. You create a free wedding Gmail (about 5 minutes, we walk you through it) and it forwards copies to us; our emails go out showing your address and your names. Vendors reply to you, every thread stays in your inbox, and you keep it afterwards.
Which vendors can you contact?
Any vendor you'd email for your wedding. The usual ones are photographers, videographers, DJs and bands, florists, caterers, and hair and makeup, but if you paste in an officiant, a cake baker or a rental company, we write to them too.
Do vendors know I'm using a service?
Not unless you tell them. The emails show your address and your names, in plain language, with no company name on them. If a vendor asks, say so; it changes nothing on their side.
How long does it take?
Most vendors reply within a few days. We keep following up with the quiet ones for 14 days from the first email. Prices land in your Sheet as they arrive, so you can start comparing before the last reply is in.
What if a vendor insists on a call?
We ask once for a package guide, starting price or range. If they still want a call, we mark it in the Sheet and you decide whether it's worth your time.
What if nobody replies?
We follow up with every quiet vendor for 14 days. The ones who never answer are marked “Cut, no reply” in your Sheet, so you can see exactly who went silent and move on.
When do I pay, and what if I change my mind?
Nothing up front. After we've read your form and confirmed we can help, we send a Stripe link for $149. Change your mind before the first email goes out and we refund in full. Once outreach has started, the fee is final.
Do vendors see my budget?
No, unless you tell us to share it. We ask for their pricing, not your limit.
Where do you work?
US weddings for now. If you're elsewhere, email us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
